Introduction:

a.The product can evenly be blended with tobacco slice, and adhere to tobacco surface, strengthen tensile strength, waterproofness and strength. This tobacco additive can greatly improve the combustibility of tobacco and decrease tar and nicotine content in tobacco, reducing injurious substance, ameliorating taste and giving out fragrance. It can also effectively prevent tobacco leaves from mould and prolong the storage time of tobacco.

b. Chitosan can be used as sorbent in cigar filter tip and lower the bad effects of the noxious constituents in tobacco, e.g., PAH, tar, benzopyrene, nicotia etc. Nicotia is a major plant alkaloid in tobacco of virulence, which causes excitement and then does harm to autonomic nerve and central nervous system of human body and leads to cancer. China's Ministry of Health advocates non-smoking or less-smoking and hopes to find a better sorbent in tobacco production and processing in order to reduce the nicotine smokers inhale and uses an important technical measure to keep people fit.

At present, many manufacturers have added Chitosan to Tobacco and achieve a lot in guaranteeing human health and environment protection.
